Lady Krasaviza wanted to send a message to her slave that she would not allow dissent. She took the slave to a forest and when they came to a clearing, she made him lie down naked in the cold. She knew he was thirsty and hungry but she tied up his head and ensured he would not manage to eat any food she gave to him. She did not want to beat him but she wanted him to get tortured nonetheless.
